Curb Appeal

The oldest now has her drivers license and she's an excellent, tho inexperienced driver. She passed her driving test w/ flyin colors. She aced the parallel parking, nailed the complete stop at lights portion; she even did well at signal while changing lanes part, which most forget to do.

Missed it by thaaaat much.

Normally she likes to have
her
picture taken.

Unfortunately they don't teach fancy sunken parking lot landscape pit avoidance in drivers ed.

Lol..good post, Reck. Aww..I loved the pic of D. Poor girl!

First of all, I've no idea why a hole of that freakin size sounds like a good landscaping idea in a parking lot. And obviously there's no way outta that.

I can relate tho, as it took me just a bit longer to get into trouble car wise. Say...25 years and counting later. But still...we don't have PITS in PARKING LOTS to worry about. No points...that's the important thing. :)

That pit looks familiar. Though I've never actually put a car in that pit. It could have been worse though. Hopefully she's OK physically and mentally.

She's ok. She drove home once the wrecker winched it out, so she's ok. They gave her a SLIGHTLY hard time about it at work the day.
When I used to hafta pick her up from work (ahhh, the good ol days) that's the "pit" I'd turn the dogs loose in to run around.

And don't feel sorry for her, it's a great lesson learned.."don't back up into pits".

Speaking of liberty, the best bookmark I got was from the Archives building. It's leather and it just has "liberty" engraved in it.

What, no Obama bookmarks?

Now that you mention it, I didn't see any of those! Unless I blocked it out. That's possible.

Linda,

There's an Obama Chia Pet. You KNOW there's Obama bookmarks.

Good grief, you're right.

http://www.chiaobama.com/

Too funny.

I've never been to the website before.

"Can you grow one? Yes you can!"

"Hail to the CH-CH-CH-CHIEF"

That's hilarious and sad at the same time. The Obama plates have nothing on this.

I prefer the "determined Chia Obama". You decide what he's determined about exactly.

Went to the chia site, man, it's like an SNL routine.

I want one.
