Scaled Back

In order to keep pace w/ the trend sittin blog, "Alien To Me", who single-handedly set the precedent for fish tank posts, I proudly present Havic's cleanin fish bowl...in E minor.

First we hadta drain approx 25%
of the dirty tank water; then catch
those quick little suckers.

We took it on advice that this
stuff might come in handy. Then,
our fish were carefully placed back
in there clean, "conditioned" tank.

The cleanin job passed muster w/ Yoda
and the fish seemed pleased. Notice our
newest addition, Gary, clingin to the side.

All seems well now w/ our tank. The problem of water leakage bein solved by replacin the 10 gal pump & filter w/ an appropriate 5 gal one.

Fun stuff! What gallon is that? Looks bigger in the pics than for a five gallon filter. Is Gary a turtle? If so, I'm so jealous. We tried the water frogs once, but when they die, it's just...sadder. Hmmmm...turtle.

Somehow I knew ya'll's plants and gravel would be the "natural" look as opposed to my colorful stuff. I've gone back and forth with changing, but I think they've grown to like it, and it goes well w/ our foo foo dog. ;) I'll bet that was fun.

It's a 5 galloner. We made the mistake a drainin too much water and didn't properly vacuum it tho. Gonna do another cleanin soon. Also, we were told that we shouldn't leave the lite on constantly; promotes algae growth (so 12 on, 12 off from now on).

Yeah, those little frogs never last long.

I turn it off at night. So they can sleep. Algea eater might help. I've got 2..one's huge.

Wait a minute. The Ss are standing behind the sink. No one can stand BEHIND a sink, there's no such thing. There's only "in FRONT" of the sink.
