Grandma Gives Us The Bird

Since my mother's work load prevented her from puttin in alotta time w/ preparin this yrs Thanksgiving dinner, my grandma stepped up and made the save. Tho mom's homemade cranberry sauce was terrific.

Unfortunately the boy had to work
and missed the festivities.







When we arrived
dinner was cookin.







We brought the pies.

Campin

Ahhh...fall. Autumn ushers in the change of seasons, it means that the holidays are near, and for the Havic's it's campin time. This year we headed east and set up camp at Palmetto State Park , just outside of Gonzales. And while the fishin bit (no, not literally or figuratively) we had a great time.

We were joined by the Wail's, tho they failed to
"cowboy up" and actually sleep at the campsite.

And even had time for
the obligatory rest stop.






Whether for warmth, food or fellowship
the campfire was a popular spot.
