The Scratchin Post

Today we took a trip to wanna my favorite haunts...Costco. While the free samples were rather sparse for a saturday (usually it's like a small buffet) the deals were, as always, quite plentiful. The best deal of all was the scratchin post tower we picked up for our cats. If you've ever priced these suckers you know they are very..well..pricey. But not today. Ahhh...Costco.

The inspection begins.

Soon Yoda & Houdini
feel right at home w/ it.

And a bit protective
of their newest toy.

In celebration we fired up the ol
grill (like I need an excuse).

Bobo grabbed me some wood...

...and we got the
thing smokin.

The girls pitched in by...uh..
playin the Wii.

Eventually, this caught their attention.

And they brought the games outside.
Pavement Pictionary anyone?

I was little help w/ the game tho;

not w/ Palin (literally)
on my brain.

Then the sun set and we ate.
Ahh...good times..good times.

Hooray! More Havic pics!

I admit, I've never once priced a scratching post. Boy, they really like it, eh? That one of the two of em in/on it is cute...

I need a dog that'll get fire wood...

Dinner looked Awesome..

Palin on the brain..lol..

It's nice seein pics of your house. I think I'm startin to put together the layout of that family room area. (I like when I can picture people somewhere.) It looks like a really cool place. Your style is so different than mine, but I really like it.

Thanks. It's smallish but cozy.

Yeah, but come late January, were goin fire that sucker up..brrr!

They're camped out on it as we speak. They've got this cat bliss look on their faces.

Fraid can only do lights to (tho not that many); findin all the green extension cords that I stuck w/ the Christmas stuff will be the biggest job a all. We picked up some many bails a hay and some pumpkins today too; gonna set those out w/ our scarecrows manana.

I'll fess up and say I'm addin to it this year (mini graveyard scene) instead just a couple a tombstones.

Wow, that's ambitious. I need to get fired up.I've been sorta lame in the holiday decorating department in recent years. Maybe you guys will inspire me. I do love me some Halloween.

Already concedin, eh?

Btw, is it spelled bails or bales? I'm thinkin it's bales.

Got the scarecrows up, or I should sat S did. My job is to secure em in place, she's the creative one.

That's my problem...creativity. I've also had to get rid of stuff thruout the yrs...stuff breaking, fading, etc. I don't think I have much stuff anymore. I'm making excuses, aren't I? Alright..I'll give it a go. It'll go up Oct. 30, but it'll go up.
