Grill Baby Grill !!

On Wednesday nites we usually head to church to feed our souls. Not tonite tho. Instead, we put our grill on.

The wife did the prep work.

And the youngest
put it all together.

Black tip shark
w/ lemon and fresh
basil wrapped in
cedar paper.

Meanwhile, the cats
and dogs chilled.

A nice cool front
blew in...

...and we enjoyed
a tasty healthy meal.

Oh yeah...grill baby, grill!

Palin 2012. Nice Touch. Well I went and voted today. I voted for the ancient one. I voted for a whole lot more Republicans than I planned to. But reading some of the Libertarian answers to questions from the LWV, I was like...eh, not so much. I did vote for a Libertarian in one or two of the judicial races, (where there was no Republican running) and left a LOT blank, (where Dems were running unopposed). I also voted for the Libertarian for Travis County Sheriff. He won't win, but I feel like he had better ideas than the other two, especially the Dem. But come on, Travis County Sheriff, that one's going to the Dems regardless.

I think I musta voted for a Libertarian before, just can't recall. I have voted for a dim or two in my lifetime.
I usually vote on election nite (actually, I always have). Guess I like the tradition. Yep, there are the blank ones as well.

Wow, that's some fancy grillin! Cedar paper? You guys have been browsing through your cookbooks again, haven't you? I'll bet it was tasty for fish eaters! Basil's good w/ everything.

The apron is classic.

Switched your comment layout?

Hey, what's the mystery food on the grill? Remember that Sesame Street song...'one of these things is not like the other...'? Something's disguised in tinfoil.

If you print pictures for an album, fixing the date stamp will really come in handy. ;)

RecknHavic said...

Not sure why layout is like this. How do I switch it back, or can I?

RecknHavic said...

Ha! The ol Grillin For Dummies..

I keep meanin to get to that..

We ran outta cedar paper and stuck some a the fish in foil (how we usually cook it). The cedar wrap was a first for us, deee-lish!

You can go to customize, and layout, and comments and click on "full page" and it should go back. That's what I did anyway.

Linda said...

Sorry..go to customize, then settings, then comments, then 3rd one down is Comment Form Placement, then click the "full whatever" buttoon. If you wanna change it.

If you have any doubts about a McCain win in November, read this. And know that I'm being sarcastic.

It's amazing that people spend that kind of energy into stuff like that. Some of it's kinda cool, but I'm thinkin you can make numbers do what you want them to do if you try hard enough.

Yeah, when I looked at it I realized that I was not going to make it through the whole thing.

Oh, we rented the new IJ movie. I know Reck hated it, but I thought it was quite entertaining.

RecknHavic said...

Seriously? Entertaining?
IJ4 left me disappointed and a bit angry.

Now, the IJ Legos gm on the Wii, THAT'S entertainment.

Anonymous said...

Ha! Legos. I love those little stubby Legos characters. We have Star Wars on the Game Cube.

Nestor said...

Yeah, we have the star wars and ij games (lego) for PS2. Fun stuff. I'm hoping Santa will bring me and Ryan a PS3 with 'The Force Unleashed'. I can hope right?

Nestor said...

Yeah I thought it was entertaining. It wasn't groundbreaking, but it had some funny moments, some action. It was a bit cheezy at points, but so were the others. I thought the funniest part was when Mutt throws Indy a snake. That was classic.

RecknHavic said...

Reck's Review of Kingdom of the Dull

The snake scene was unoriginal and the snake was one of the fakest lookin things I've ever seen in a movie.

We didn't get to see Indy do any of his stunts (they'd always cut away).

No Salah? Where the hell was Salah?

The ant scene was funny because it was so lame.

Indy looked (and sounded old) yet they didn't play this up like they did w/ Connery I Last Crusade.

Next to (Burbs I think it was called) worst Spielberg movie of all time.

Sorry, but this is a touchy subject for me :)

It's all good Reck, you're entitled to your *OPINION* ;) .
The ant scene was a bit much, but I did like that snake part. I don't know. Anyhow, I thought it was interesting and it made me laugh at times. I also liked the idea of Soviet mind control over college professors. I think maybe they really did try it, and maybe it worked. Although, Speilberg and Lucas are two people who are big Hollywood Libs, so that would be one of those things that would have been stumbled upon by them. But you never know...Lucas wears flanel. Maybe he's a closet conservative? Nah.

RecknHavic said...

I guess i was probably expectin too much. It's kinda like the last 3 Star Wars, just weren't the same.

I saw (several yrs ago) Speilberg say in an interview when asked about his meeting w/ Fidel Castro, "Most important three hours of my life."

Geez, what a bozo!
Former great director, but still..a bozo.

Nestor said...

I really liked the last three star wars movies. But I agree that the storylines weren't as well developed. I suppose there was so much to cram in that you just couldn't develop all of the characters, and in trying to develop the minor characters, it took too much time from Anakin and Obi-Wan.

RecknHavic said...

The last three were ok. I LOVED the first 2; 3rd one was bout like the last three.

I think the further you get into a movie series, they start to fall of.

there are some exceptions, like: Aliens was better than Alien (which was killer in it's own right); Last Crusade was close to (best movie ever) Raiders (tho Temple A Doom not so good); Empire Strikes Back great as Star wars.
Probably a couple a others I can't remember. But, usually sequels leave alot to be desired.
