Rebecca Creek
The other day I was out near Canyon Lake and came across a spot that the family and I used to frequent. They've closed most of it off now to exploring and fishing, so I thought I'd capture it in some pics.
Yeah, they've got those stakes w/ foot measurements on em too. I always thought you judged a low water crossing as passable if the car in front of you makes it through.

In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

Suppose We Really Found Him?
"There comes a moment when the children who have been playing at burglars hush suddenly: was that a real footstep in the hall? There comes a moment when people who have been dabbling in religion (man's search for God) suddenly draw back. Supposing we really found Him? We never meant it to come to that! Worse still, supposing He had found us?" C.S. Lewis from Miracles

Beautiful pics of the Hill Country. So is that a river, creek or crick.
Creek...just creek.
Yeah, pretty spot, bit they fenced it all off & put up "DO NOT Trespass" signs.
Tho I think that's takin the whole "private property rights" to an unhealthy extreme.
Oh c'mon, admit it..it's a crick.
Very pretty. LOVE the trees! I know, but seriously. Those are really cool lookin.
Only hillbilly's say crick.
Whatya think, I ain't learned?
I just noticed those "warning signs" at the low water crossing. Are there other signs? If it's really raining, those signs would be underwater.
I can't help but think about the wetness of your shoes in pic 3.
