For awhile now I've been belly-aching about John McCain. Not conservative enough..not tough enough regardin our porous border..
refuses to drill in ANWR.
So what exactly
changed my mind?
A Washington outsider.

Ok..he simply likes the outside..
but still.

Our new signage inspired our next door neighbors (who are usually very level-headed) to display their idea of change.
Tho, there's three voters in our household as opposed to two in theirs; so we win:)

That's a great pic of the two signs. How funny. I'm too wimpy to put a sign out...it all seems to be so devisive for people. I'll admit it..I don't want my neighbors to stop liking me.
Funny pic of Buster..he's lookin for an outsider!
Whether or not conservatives are voting for McCain is a huge hot topic at TH right now.
Step..outside..the box, Lin :)
Didya notice the 2'x 4' holdin up the table in the Buster pic?
I'm comfy in my box.
No, I didn't, but I see it now. Got some tippage issues? I think I'd sit at the other end..safer.
I'll have to get the table story tomorrow..goin up. Wish me luck..testing at 4:00 tomorrow!

Good luck L! Be the Choi.

I've considered signage or something, but I just don't know. I am liking McCain more and more though. I just like his direct answers. I guess when you're that old you don't have time to think about stuff, you just need to answer and believe it. Plus he's had a REALLY long time to figure out what he stands for, so he should know it by heart by now.
Before the Palin pick, I figured I'd get a McCain/Romney or McCain/Giuliani or McCain/Jindal sign (or bumper sticker) and cross out the McCain part. I don't know about Palin though. My brain says yes, but my heart says no.
I hear ya. I still have "issues" w/ McCain. Climate chnge and the border are huge issues to me. Both have huge ramifications on our country's future.
What I like about the guy is he'll go to a state like Iowa and say we need to end farm subsidies, that takes political courage.
Main thing is we need someone who'll attempt to reign in spendin.
"My brain says yes, but my heart says no." Sounds like you need a tie-breaker. I'm not gonna touch this one.
Where's the table story? Inquiring minds wanna know why the pedastal isn't doin its job!
Right now I could give a hoot about borders and the climate. This economy's startin to scare the crap outta me.
The border (influx of non tax payn, welfare drainin, crime creatin illegals) and true growth reducin govt mandatin energy "redistribution" will have a HUGE effect on our economy.
To cap "green house" emissions we'd hafta reduce our industrial output. Illegal "aliens" steal jobs from Americans and create an unfair advantage (because a low wages) for business's that hire them.
The really big issue is spendin. At some point our national debt will become so great that our economy will be devastated.
Entitlement reform is essential to our national recovery; unfortunetly neither prez candidate are touchin this issue.
Palin 2012!
I agree that we need to bring down spending. The treasury brings in about 3 trillion a year and the gov't spends about 3.4 trillion. We need to keep bringing in about 3 trillion and spend about 2.5 trillion. If we can do that, reform social security, medicare and medicaid, maybe we can pay down our debt in the next 20 years, at least get it manageable.
D can't stand the term "pork barrel...". Everytime he hears it, he repeats it loudly in a funny voice. :)
Does he do it in a Porky Pig voice? THAT would be funny.
