Having been an active blogger for awhile now, I've

is a pretty faceless place, so w/out further ado..

Cool!

Ha ha! I'm the only faceless person left! I kinda like this. Kind of an "I see you, you don't see me thing". It was fun seein your family..I'm glad you did this. You may just inspire me to do the same (if it's not too hard), if for no other reason than to share pictures..I like doin that.

I may have problems posting here like we did at Nestor's originally. I had to re-register w/ google to get this one through. I'll let ya know.

RecknHavic said...

You should, cause I have no idea how to correct re-reg problem. Besides, we'd all like to see a Linda Blog (plus see who we're talkn w/, family, ect). Yeah, the pic thing is fun (could never figure it out at TH; besides, don't know that that's the right format).

It's actually very easy, even a caveman could do it.

Just click on create blog and follow the steps, quite fun. Would certainly solve the hassle a re-reg.

Oh, come on, you HAVE to!

RecknHavic said...

Ok, think I just solved re-reg problem. But, you still HAVE to create your own blog.

Seriously.

Anonymous said...

Hmmm...well you've got the "name" option now, but I still have to type in the word verification.

Anonymous said...

And why is my first post blue and underlined?

RecknHavic said...

Blue and underlined would indicate Blogger member. When I clicked on your name it said member since Dec 07; but then again, mine says same thing.

I'll keep messin w/ name ver thing. 'Course if you were a member, I wouldn't need to.

RecknHavic said...

Ok, that shoulda done it for word ver...we'll see.

Anonymous said...

Oh look! You have a cool avatar now...I just noticed! btw, that pic of you and Summer was a bit jarring as I've never pictured you in anything but bluejeans and a baseball hat w/ varnish in your hand.

I think you got it now...no more word ver. thingy. Excellent.

RecknHavic said...

Thnks, my avatar is the Duke, of course.
That particular pic is from two Valentines days ago; probably the last time I wasn't wearin a cap w/ varnish in my hand. And it's shorts..always shorts.

Anonymous said...

Well that sort of goes without saying as you live on the equator.

RecknHavic said...

Near the equator..near..

RecknHavic said...

Alright Linda, the onus is on you...

Now CREATE THAT BLOG!

Nestor said...

The new blog looks pretty good. We had a good time today. We'll have to see when we can do it again. Maybe next time the fish won't be so afraid of us. ;)

Anonymous said...

Onus? That's a big word...I'll have to look that one up. ;)

So, what did you guys do today? Fill me in! (You can leave out the fish taco part..ha ha.)

R, you'll have yourself a picture one way or another before we meet. I don't want you lookin at me funny for the first hour tryin to put a face to the name. It just seems hard to do, w/ the pictures and all. We'll see...

Nestor said...

We fished and swam in the Blanco River. We talked and ate fish tacos, corn and smores. Don't knock the fish tacos 'till you've tried 'em. As an aside, I may have to ask my state legislator to propose changing the name of the Blanco River to the Verde River. I'm just sayin'.

Anonymous said...

Well that sounds fun! Wasn't quite warm enough for us to swim..I'm sure the lake was cold. Altho there were some adventurous types tubing and jet skiing...probably w/ wet suits.

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and pass judgement on the fish tacos. I don't do that much, but I'll make an exception this time. ;)

Stan Rosenthal said...

Congrats on the new blog, Reck!

Anonymous said...

Hey SR! Did you have a good weekend?

Stan Rosenthal said...

Linda, I ate some fish at some point this weekend. Not much, just enough to be more fish than either Reck or Nestor ate. :-)

Stan Rosenthal said...

Oh, they "ate" fish tacos, I had misread that. I thought they said that they only talked about fish tacos.

Never mind.

Stan Rosenthal said...

I love cats.

RecknHavic said...

Thanks Stan. Yeah, we like cats alittle bit as well. I know alot of your time is spent carin for your mom, but do you have the time/opportunity for any pets?

RecknHavic said...

Gracias Nest. Maybe next time we'll encounter some brave fish. My only regret is I forgot about that dessert stuff Carmen made (was distracted by the grilled corn). So much food...so little time.

Anonymous said...

Not a cat gal. They're too sneaky. You'll be sittin there minding your own business and all of a sudden they've jumped up onto the back of the couch. They make me jumpy. And I'm always afraid they're gonna freak out and try to scratch my eyes out. Do I have issues?

RecknHavic said...

Linda in blue, underlined.

W/ cats, ya just gotta watch your back when you're munchin on one a those delicious fish tacos :) Actually, the way she made em, was just like eaten a fajita; no fishy taste at all.

Got a solution for the pic delima, create your own blog. You realize I'm not gonna drop this...

Anonymous said...

Yeah, D said you could put anything in a tortilla w/ salsa and sour cream, etc. and it'd taste good. I don't love fish, so it just doesn't sound good.

Well the first step is pickin a name and I don't have one. Course I could be real creative like and call it Linda's Blog. ;) You're just feelin exposed so you don't wanna feel alone in your vulnerability. It'll pass.
How's that for psycho-babble?

Anonymous said...

Btw...the motel genie? Denied my request. Frantically found another place...last room they had.

Oh, and I voted that your new blog would bring world peace. Told ya I was delusional.

RecknHavic said...

Very funny, and I thought Reck's Blog was so creative.

How bout callin it Linda's Psycho-Babble?
Wings and Things?
Olski Shmolski?
Literally Linda?
Middle of the Road Musings?
Linda the Middle Defenda?
Linda's Blog, Eh?

Ok, I'm outta ideas and I gotta quit screwn around and get on the road.

Later all.

RecknHavic said...

Ah, motel madness...

I voted no, didn't want to upset the Tazmanians.

Anonymous said...

Hey, I'm looking into the blog thing, and I can't get my pictures smaller. They're ginormous. Any suggestions? Yes, I tried the Help button.

Anonymous said...

Ok, I got the pics smaller, but...it's just not right. Apparently the cavemen have something on me, cuz this is hard.

Anonymous said...

Seriously..if you wanna see my ugly mug, someone has to help me. I can't add pics to the blog w/out them bein real big. I can make em smaller in a post, but that's not what I'm tryin to do.

RecknHavic said...

Ok, ck "shrink to fit" box, this should reduce it to correct amount a pixels (assuming your addin em to side element). And you're not gonna show a picture of an actual mug are you? Maybe Stanley's cup ;) you can also use your own pic as an avatar.

Anonymous said...

I don't know what "side element" means, but I did the shrinkage thing, but they're still too big. ?

Anonymous said...

And I don't see where to get an avatar...

Linda said...

Oh, and thank you for trying to help. I actually said "this is frustratn!"..outloud..to myself...in Reck speak earlier tday. Which means I'm losin it.

RecknHavic said...

You're just gonna hafta poke around through settings, ect. I tried to find where I set my avatar pic, but I couldn't find it. Now one a the kids needs comput for "homework".

Like what you've done so far tho..it's "spacey".

Anonymous said...

Alright. I wanted to have it up and running before my trip so I could come home and post pics of Utah. Haven't figured out how to move pictures, or how to get them between small and big. But you're free to take a look at what I've got. It's gonna take me more time to get it where I want it to be, but I don't wanna be thinkin about it tomorrow...gotta pack.

So feel free to meet the O-skys at http://alientome.blogspot.com

Linda said...

Reg. picturing people..I had you "stockier" than you look in that picture. And you're not in Home Depot, which threw me. Summer, I had cute and blond, and I was right. I was pretty spot on w/ the kids, too. (Oldest looks a lot like the missus.) Hard to see the boy thru the energy drink, but the picture is classic teenager. And well the youngest is just a cutie. The pets? Just call me The Amazing Kreskin.

RecknHavic said...

"stockier"...very funny.

That pic was at the end of a year long (acid reflux) induced diet. Don't worry, come July, you'll get to see the "stockier" me.

"home depot"...you're on a roll today. Need a little laugh this mornin (afternoon; woke up w/ a minor migraine, getem occasionily) better now.

Ok Kreskin, what am I thinkin now...

Wrong.
I'm thinkin I DON'T wanna drive to freakin Austin today, but I must...maybe.

Anonymous said...

Oh so you're postin skinny pictures! Didn't know I could do that!

Big night tnite Detroit fans! Wings and Pistons baby! (No, they're not playing each OTHER.) I still haven't packed...I think I'm best under pressure.

It's too late for Austin. (I'm a bad influence.)

RecknHavic said...

Not goin.

Really gettn into this whole hockey thing. Hey, anything w/ icing is ok by me.

Yeah, skinny pics...actually I'm not THAT vain, just didn't have any pics on comput a me and S (copied that one w/ scanner). I'll dig out the 20lbs heavy ones.

Anonymous said...

Wow...beautiful pic. What a great tree..

RecknHavic said...

Thanks.
The "ladder" was put there by me (25 yrs ago). No, don't try and climb it.

Workin on more pics. Still tryn to figure some things out. Havin hard time puttn dialoge w/ pics (in right spot atleast).

Interestn, loadn pics onto comput; fun.

Anonymous said...

Looking forward to more..
You know what I like most about my blog? It shows the RIGHT time! I always have to take the time diff. into consideration.

Stan Rosenthal said...

Reck, your son seems to be a kid that I (can easily) identify with. I feel like I'm looking at pictures of myself back in my teens (but that I'm better looking than I recall.)

I trust that you're gonna allow your son to guest blog @ some point around here?

RecknHavic said...

He's shown no interest in bloggin. Maybe that's a good thing :)

Reck -
> ... do you have the time/opportunity for any pets?

We have a few cats where I work, and one of them isn't afraid of humans. I take a few seconds a day to pet him.

I call him Meow Culpa.

Stan Rosenthal said...

(I have staredown sessions with the other cats. :-) )

No. I had a cat (I think it was Bright Eyes who did this ( http://www.thesequencers.us/various/BrightEyes.jpg ) (yes, I do believe the band is named after her)) that whilst I was sleeping jumped on my face. Luckily I had my comforter over my face so I didn't look like Stephen Colbert ...

I loved that cat.

Also the rare times the weather is good enough for our doors to be open, he'll sit on my lap as I repair car stereos.
