A quick trip to my in-laws in H-town provided me w/ some primo red oak.
Then I swung by Grandma's to do alittle mowin.

but it turned out well.

Who knew aliens
pulled for U of H.

Can you spot
the bunny?

Bring it winter...
..bring it!

Haha! The aliens are trying to win you over so they can more easily abduct you. They tried that on my lawn, too, but I'm too smart for em. They know that because I stood on my front lawn yelling up to the sky, shading my fists, yelling "I'M TOO SMART FOR YOUUUUU!"
Nice mow job, nice wood pile. You're like a little squirrel gettin all ready for the "winter". It's cute you think it might get cold.
I DID see the bunny! Took me a bit to figure out which direction he was facing, etc..but I saw it finally. :) Good post!!
You MAY be too smart for those aliens, or it MAY just get too bloody cold for em in Canada. I'm thinkn they're like fire ants and there's a frost line they just won't cross.
Course that could just be the illegal aliens.
"It's cute you think it might get cold."
har har
Go stack your durologs.
I actually had stepped on him earlier (long story)and this was the second time I saw him that day (assuming there were no other rabbits around).
Thanks!
You stepped on him? And it's a long story? Sounds like a short one to me...you stepped on a poor harmless bunny rabbit! The end! No wonder he's cowering in the bushes afraid to show himself!!
I thought he looked scared, I just didn't want to say anything cuz I didn't want to give you a complex or something. Like "bunnies are afraid of me...I must be some sort of monster. Don't look at me!". I was trying to avoid that type of thing. That explains his look, tho. You go around steppin on bunnies. Hm. Explains a lot, actually.
You might be right on the alien thing. Fire ants won't cross a line? They have principles or somethin?
Here in Houston, most of us (that have fireplaces (which is very few of us)) have to go out and buy firewood.
And I still haven't seen any 4 sale yet this season. I've been thinking about this very subject (it's been a cooler than normal October.)
Reck, interested in selling some of that prime red oak? Do you deliver????
We buy firewood, too. I mean, there are woods a plenty, but you can't go around choppin trees down.
Can't you at least look for trees that are already down? Pre-dried and everything!
He shoulda moved.
Actually, I saw him crouched in some grass I'd already mowed (no, I didn't mow over him) and I decided to go grab my dig camera. he was so well camouflaged I stepped rite on his rabbit arse.
Do yall buy the durolgs in volume L?
Sure Stan I'll sell ya some red oak, but just so ya know, ya can't smoke it.
Fire ants are the Mother Teresa's of the bug world.
That's the problem with the firewood you buy in Houston. The humidity here soaks in, and when you try to burn it, sometimes all you can do is smoke it.
That's Y I want to buy *YOUR* firewood. So, do you deliver to Houston? And I think Linda wants to buy some to, so do you deliver to Michigan????

Me on the actual thread-

Everything that's up is down and everything that's down is up in the world of a progressive.
You got that in Houston???? I suggest letting it dry out before you try to burn it.
Roger that, it's still pretty green. While i'm thinkn I could toss some on a strong fire I'm prob gonna save most for next winter.
I think by the time you would be able to deliver to Linda, it will be dried out enough.
But as far as our deal???? Let me officially cancel it (now.) I realize now that you warned me (must've been a disclaimer that I admit I missed)) but I see no reason to buy damp Houston wood from U when I (later) can simply got to my local grocery store to buy damp wood.
Stan...you just made sense.
